Camilla Prytz is a glass artist and jewelry designer from Norway

Camilla Prytz launched Glass & Glamour, her first handmade jewelry collection in glass and sterling silver in 2001, and her first designed and produced line Animals in 2009

The success has been overwhelming, and her jewelry is spotted on Rihanna, Olsen-twins, Crown Princess Mette- Marit, Princess Martha Louise and dozens of other stars and fashionistas

Camilla was nominated for the Norwegian design award Nåløyet 2011, as best accessior designer of the year, and for Costume Awards 2011 and 2012 as best Norwegian Designer of the year

She has released two jewelry books with Norwegian photographer Knut Bry,

This fall she started working with a new material enamel. Her new jewelry collection THE ENAMELLIST by Camilla Prytz is 100% handmade in Norway´s oldest enamel studio

" I wanted to fullfill an old dream - to make enamel jewelry! My great grandfather worked with enamal in the old family firm J. Tostrup Goldsmith. When AS J. Tostrup closed in 1986, I had to look for another place. In the heart of Oslo I found Opro Productions, a beautiful old workshop who still handmake enamel in the old fashioned way, and our collaboration has been magical. The collection "The Enamellist By Camilla Prytz" is inspired by my own childhood in the 70s, and has a strong hippeivibe. I think enamel is the most beautiful material I have ever seen, and some of the colors used in my collection are hundred years old"

The event "Mote Med Mening" was held Friday night at DogA - the Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture and was it´s 6th in a row.

The event is a foundation which organizes fashion events where the income goes to a good cause. This year they have collaborated with KARANBA, founded by the former Lyn player Tommy Nilsen, which is an organization who helps kids and young of the streets in Rio de Janeiro.

This friday the show was led by Marianne Jemtegaard and filled with artists such as Samsaya and Rikke Lie, a trend show for fall 2012, TSH 2012 and Twin-Set, and hair shows with Olimb & Co, Wella/SP, HOPE Hair, Collection Olimb & Co and Perry Hairdressers.

SVA Magazine were lucky to meet Veronica for an interview a few months ago. The talented norwegian designer who lives in Denmark, is now nominated for a prestiges Danish Design Award in Copenhagen. Her unique creations has earlier won the Max Factor Talent Award 2011 in Denmark and is now one of three nominees for the Danish Design Talent of the Year.

SVA in motion @ RAFF design 2010

For Raff 2010 SVA wanted to show SVA in motion. A concept that has previously been showcased in Oslo, this time it was for the people of the west to enjoy. SVA in motion, or fashion in motion show films with a different take on fashion rather than a photo still or a catwalk podcast. The films embrace moods and feelings from serene and calm to blunt and provocative.

SVA had a gallery all to themselves at Bryggen in Bergen. We curated the room with Karen´s illustrations, a huge flatscreen and dvd, and all the back issues of SVA hanging in chains from the ceiling.

Directly after New York, Sva was represented as a part of a Norwegian group in Milan.

Whilst Rikke and Svein went to Bergen, Karen went to Milan to represent the team.

– a Pop-Up Book

Temporary shop/Exhibition

During the Milan Fashion week in September, a group of emerging and established local creatives and artists with roots

from Bergen will open up their pop-up book. The unpretentious installation will showcase a cross section of fashion,

furniture design, art, music and culture from this city known for being the gateway to the fjords, its heavy rain and a vibrant music scene.

A walk through Milan’s luxury shopping streets triggered a dialogue between Norwegian Rain’s T-Michael and Alexander Helle. -The contrasting differences between Milan and Bergen were refreshing: Establishment vs Experimental. What if we constructed an independent contrasting dugnad* space, right next to these ultra luxury shops?

Bringing in a piece of natures atmosphere from Bergen where the mountains meets the urban city streets, a diamond in the rough temporarily popping up right next to you!

“Bergen, a pop-up book’ will be open for your perusal – at WHITE Show - from 24t-26th of September - Then the installation will curve into a temporary project boutique in the city centre of Milan - one week only- from the 29th.

* Dugnad” is an old Norwegian term for people getting together and voluntarily working towards a common goal that benefits the community, the neighborhood or an individual. Originally this term expressed the friendly spirit of people helping each other out when a foundation or barn needed to be built.

SVA magazine in New York

During a week in september SVA magazine was invited by the D&A trade fair, to New York, to exhibit the magazine together with fellow Scandinavian fashionistas. We met a lot of phenomenal people, saw a lot of interesting places (thanks to our faithful and inspiring guides X & Barbara) and had truly an amazingly adventurous week.

We also had a lot of good meetings, amongst a few that led to SVA magazine now being available at Universal News in NY. And off course, David, the owner of Canoe studios in Chelsea with whom we got great contact.
